I am blessed to live in Gwinnett County and I know how our decisions today will affect my family and my neighbors in the future. I speak everyday with my neighbors, friends, and people just like you that are frustrated by the unproductive, stagnant, and unresponsive County Commission. They have yet to deliver a waste management plan, they have raised your property taxes due to their poor decisions, have entangled the county in numerous legal disputes, and have shown a lack of accountability when it comes to your tax dollars. The Commission has
passed the buck.
And you are paying for it.
- I pledge to be a new kind of Commissioner - a new voice caring the concerns of taxpayers. One that is responsive and accountable to the people.
- I will go through the budget line by line to get the most for your tax dollars. I will not spend money we don’t have on things we don’t need.
- I will work to maintain and expand our emergency services throughout the county, because I believe in a safe Gwinnett.
-
I will work with the municipalities within the county to create a service agreement we can all agree on and that is mutually beneficial.
-
I will work with both the Gwinnett Chamber and small business owners to help develop comprehensive economic models that will increase in-county spending and employment.
-
I will support both CID and TAD projects that improve our surrounding and build for the future of Gwinnett.
-
I will make ending the organized drug trade plaguing Gwinnett a top priority.
-
I will put time, thought and energy into finding the right person to represent the citizens for all committees and boards, including the Zoning Board and Library Board.
-
I will be accessible to you, the taxpaying citizen, and hold frequent town hall meetings where we can talk open and honestly about issues.
-
I will develop an interactive district website where questions can be answered.
-
I will be a partner in finding long-term solutions to the difficult problems facing our community.
